Robert Bowers

Robert Eugene Bowers, age 60, of Columbia City, IN, passed away at 6:55 am on Wednesday February 1, 2023, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.  Born on March 12, 1962, in Fort Wayne, he was the son of Donald and Patricia (Alcorn) Bowers.

Robert attended North Manchester High School.  He worked for Campbell’s as a tow truck driver for over 20 years.  Robert enjoyed fishing, camping, and taking care of his family in his free time.

Survivors include his companion Robin Kay Zimmerman of Fort Wayne; children Ryan Adam Bowers, Tiffany Lynn Bowers, and Kimberly (Logan) Walker, all of Columbia City; 4 grandchildren; father Donald Gene (Linda) Bowers, Sr. of Chicago, IL; siblings Donald Gene Bowers, Jr. of Tampa, FL, Kristina Lynn (Brent) Stultz of Bluffton, and David (Deb) Bowers of Ossian.

He was preceded in death by his mother and grandchildren Arianna Hontz and Mia Walker.

A gathering of family and friends will be held for Robert from 1:00-3:00 pm on Thursday February 9, 2023, at DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City.

Memorial contributions in memory of Robert may be made toward his final expenses.
