Agnes Jane Plummer

Agnes Jane Plummer, age 101, of Columbia City, IN passed away at 5:00 am Thursday, October 8, 2015 at her daughters residence. Born on October 9, 1913 in Warsaw, IN, she was the daughter of James and Norah (Syphers) Duncan.

She lived in Warsaw all of her life, until moving to Columbia City to reside with her daughter in 2003. She graduated from Warsaw High School with the Class of 1931. She then attended International Business College in Fort Wayne and earned an Associates degree. She was united in marriage to Edward L. Plummer in Warsaw. Agnes began working in 1954 at Tri-State Advertising Company in Warsaw as the Secretary and Assistant Treasurer and Office Manager and continued her employment for over 30 years. She is a member of First Presbyterian Church, Tri Kappa and Eastern Star all of Warsaw.

Survivors include her daughter, Sharon L. (Gary Parker) Kelley of Columbia City; 2 grandchildren, Nathan Edward (Ann) Notter, Fort Wayne and Minda L. (Chad) Lemmon, Columbia City and 2 great grandchildren, Dustin E. and Rachel L. Notter. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Edward L. Plummer and 2 brothers, David and James Duncan.

Visitation is from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at DeMoney-Grimes, a Life Story Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Funeral service will follow at 11 am Tuesday at the funeral home with Sharon Brockhaus Certified Funeral Celebrant officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw. Memorials may be given in memory of Mrs. Plummer to the Salvation Army or Parkview Whitley Home Health Care and Hospice.
