Alexandra S. Rife

Alexandra S. Rife, age 31, of Fort Wayne, IN, passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, April 24, 2023. Born on August 22, 1991, in Columbus, OH, she was the daughter of Diana Cooke Rife and John Rife.

Alexandra began her primary education at Co- lumbus School for Girls and graduated in 2010 from Columbus Academy. She attended Virginia Tech and received a bachelor’s degree in animal and poultry science in 2014. She worked as a logistics coordinator at Co-Alliance Cooperative, Inc. in Columbia City, IN.

Alexandra cherished her two chocolate labs Bro- die and Wasatch; horses and horseback riding; her many friends and colleagues; coaching Homestead High School girls Lacrosse in Ft. Wayne, IN; and her family’s lake house.

In addition to Alexandra’s parents, other beloved survivors include stepfather Kevin S. Hoffman; siblings Lauren (Nate) Shannon, Victoria Hoff- man, Amy Rife, Joshua (Kristina) Hoffman, Jordan (Olivia) Hoffman and Michael Hoffman; grand- mothers Saundra Dombey Cooke and Jane Ann Hoffman; great aunt Diane Dombey Niermeyer; great uncle David F. Cooke; aunts Anne Cooke Dimon and Ruth Ann (Derek) Watts; uncles Andy (Beth) Cooke and Mark E. Hoffman; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandfathers Rodney Preston Cooke, Robert E. Hoffman, and O. Jennings Rife.

Visitation will be held on June 2, 2023 at the Broad Street Presbyterian Church (BSPC), 760 E. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio, 43205 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. Alexandra’s celebration of life and reception will commence at 11:00 am on June 3, 2023 at BSPC.

Alexandra’s family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be considered to the Di- alated Cardiomyopathy Research Fund at the Ohio State Richard M. Ross Heart Hospital, 452 W. 10th Avenue, Columbus, Ohio, 43210 or the CHA Animal Shelter, 3765 Corporate Drive, Columbus, Ohio, 43231.
