Alice Marie Davis, 85, of Columbia City, Ind., passed away at 8:11 a.m. Monday, January 9, 2017 at her home. Born July 21, 1931 in Corydon, Ind., she was the daughter of William R. and Frances (Froman) Pease.
She attended New Amsterdam School in Corydon and moved to Ohio and on to Ft. Wayne. In 1972 Alice moved to Whitley County. On September 5, 1971 she married Ronald L. Davis. She had worked at Blue Bell and United Technologies Corporation. An avid bowler, she was on the womens bowling league in Columbia City. She enjoyed spending time at her cottage and fishing on High Lake before her husband passed away, playing cards and euchre with family and friends and going around to the area garage sales.
Survivors include her brothers, Carl (Beth) Pease, of Columbia City, Donald (Joann) Pease, of Geneva and David (Yvonne) Pease, of Elizabeth; step-sons, Jim (Paula) Davis and Mike Davis, both of Ft. Wayne; granddaughter, Allyssa Davis; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sister, Faye Parker.
Visitation is 12-1:45 p.m. Thursday, January 12, 2017 at DeMoney-Grimes, a Life Story Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City with her funeral services to start at 2 p.m. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Greenhill Cemetery following services.
