Anita Pensinger

Anita J. Pensinger, 88, of Albion, Indiana, passed away Saturday, December 18, 2021, at Sacred Heart Nursing Home, Avilla.  Born March 27, 1933, in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of Clarence R. "Buss" and Lena (Samuels) Leaman.

Anita graduated from Northside High School with the Class of 1951 and later married Gerald Pensinger. Not only was Anita a homemaker, but she also worked for Blue Bell, Columbia City and Lyall Electric, Wolf Lake. Anita enjoyed riding motorcycles with her husband and was a member of the Old Fort Motorcycle Club. She and Gerald also took a yearly fishing trip to Lake Erie for walleye.  Anita also enjoyed crafting projects, such as knitting, crocheting, and sewing.

Anita is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Rev. Robert and Doris Yenna; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Bill Wagler; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and eleven great-great-grandchildren. Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Pensinger on March 21, 2021; three sons, Thomas Pensinger, Richard "Dick" Hatton and James "Jim" Yenna; brother James R. Leaman.

Visitation will be 12 to 2 pm, Thursday, December 23, 2021, at DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City with her funeral service to begin at 2 pm.
