Arlinda Viola Paulus, age 40, of Columbia City, IN passed away at 8:25 p.m. on Tuesday March 10, 2015 at Parkview Whitley Hospital, Columbia City.Born on September 9, 1974 in Angola, IN she was the daughter of Arlin Hoot and Mary Jane (Henderson) Gibson Sr.

Arlinda attendedthe Fremont Schools.On July 13, 2010 Arlinda married William Paulus at the Columbia City United Methodist Church.She was a homemaker and enjoyed babysitting whenever she could. Arlindas biggest love was her family and friends.She also loved crocheting blankets and afghans, watching WWE wrestling and NASCAR races, and playing the online games Odd Socks and Words with her friends.

Survivors include her husband William Paulus of Columbia City; daughter Onalee Bender of Columbia City; son Drayton Neely of Stroh, IN; sisters Diana Worthington of Angola, Debra Tone of Lake Elisnore, CA, Barbara Shaw of Columbia City, Tammy Hertel of Angola, Deanna Jackson of Goshen, and Frances Crawford of Cashion, OK; brothers Terry Shaw and Mark Cowell of Angola, and John Shaw of Hamilton; father-in-law Larry Paulus of Columbia City; brother-in-law Nick Paulus of Fort Wayne; 18 nieces and nephews; and 12 great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters Debra Gibson and Diana Shaw, brotherArlin Hootie Gibson Jr.; and nephews Samuel Gibson and Adam Shaw.

Funeral services for Arlinda will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday March 16, 2015 at DeMoney-Grimes, a Life Story Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City, with calling starting at 10:00 a.m. untilthe time of service.
