Ashlie N. Moening, 31, formerly of Columbia City, Indiana, passed away at 8:09 a.m. Friday, March 18, 2016 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born September 16, 1984 in Columbia City, she was the daughter of James and Wanda (Sexton) Cox.

Growing up Ashlie enjoyed participating in t-ball and softball. She was in Columbia City High Schools show choir and marching band. She graduated with the Class of 2003. After meeting the love of her life, Greg Moening, the two were married in Pierceton on May 19, 2012. The two lived down in Ashland, Kentucky before moving back to the Columbia City area and recently they moved to Ft. Wayne.

Ashlie enjoyed reading, playing cards, listening to music, being with her family and spending time at Forest Ridge Campground. Above all though, she loved being a mother to her beautiful baby girl.

She is survived by her loving husband of 3 years, Greg Moening; daughter, Audrey Moening; father, James Cox; five aunts, Kay (Douglas) Jordon, Norma Rowland, Lynn (Kirk) Tedford, Vicki Street and Stacy Goshert; uncle, Merril Clark; and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Wanda Cox.

Visitation is Thursday, March 24, 2016 from 11 to 12:45 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes, a Life Story Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 24, 2016 at the funeral home with Pastor Steve Johnson officiating. Memorial donations may be made towards her funeral expenses, I.C.O.
