BEATRICE J. MORGAN

November 24, 1926 — September 10, 2010

Beatrice Jennie Morgan, age 83, of Columbia City, IN went to walk with the Lord Friday, September 10, 2010. Born November 24, 1926 in Fort Wayne, IN, she was the daughter of Ralph I. and Mary W. (Bohnke) Parker.
She graduated from Elmhurst High School, Fort Wayne, with the Class of 1944. On August 17, 1974, she married Harold Morgan in Columbia City. A Columbia City resident her entire adult life, she was a homemaker and member of Zion Lutheran Church where she was an active member of the Ladies Aid. Her hobbies included painting, drawing, reading the bible and she loved the outdoors.
Survivors include her husband, Harold Morgan of Columbia City; 10 children, Kenneth (Jean) Lahrman of Churubusco; Jerry (Barb) Lahrman of Columbia City; Garry (Yvonne) Lahrman of North Carolina; Patricia Becker of Fort Wayne; Danny (Robin) Lahrman of Columbia City; Virginia (Al) Simerman of Fort Wayne; Rev. William (Beth) Lahrman of Michigan; Eileen (Randy) Witzigreuter of Fort Wayne; Michael (Karly) Morgan of Huntington; Jill (Richard) Springstead of Fort Wayne; 5 step-children, Sue (Al) Davis of Lafeyette; Hal Morgan of Washington; Robert (Nina) Morgan of Lafeyette; Paul (Donna) Morgan of Bluffton; Stanley Morgan of Lafeyette; 2 sisters, Nadine (Charles) Roach of Montana; Mary (Bob) Metzger of Fort Wayne; 1 brother, Richard (Marilyn) Parker of Huntertown; 19 grandchildren; 11 step grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 13 nieces nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Lorene Hill, brother, Ralph Parker and three grandchildren.
Visitation is from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, September 12, 2010 at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City, IN. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. with 1 hour of calling prior to service Monday, September 13, 2010 at Zion Lutheran Church with Reverend Jerry Nichols of Zion Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will follow at South Park (Annex) Cemetery, Columbia City. Memorials may be given in memory of Mrs. Morgan to Zion Lutheran Church Ladies Aid or Visiting Nurse Hospice Home. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
