Bettejane Baron of Columbia City, IN passed away at 8:15 pm on Thursday December 20, 2018, at her home, after a hard-fought battle from Parkinson's. Born on January 9, 1945 in Fort Wayne, IN, she was the daughter of Clifford and Ruth (Harnisfeger) Worman. Bettejane attended Fort Wayne Schools and graduated from Central High School with the Class of 1963, with perfect attendance all four years.
She retired from Autoliv in Columbia City, IN in 2009. She enjoyed riding and taking care of her horses. She loved watching her grandkids participate in sports and dance. She also enjoyed working with ceramics as well as other arts activities. She loved going to play Bingo with her friends and family.
Survived by her husband of 40 years Lyle (Lucky) Baron Sr. of Columbia City; sons Timothy Weaver of Las Vegas, NV, Chris (Kim) Weaver of Mishawaka, Curtis (Kim) Onion of Albion, Dean (Sheri) Onion of Huntertown, Lyle Baron Jr of Columbia City, John (Jennifer) Baron of Avilla, and Elizabeth (Todd) Lash of Rock Springs, WY; siblings Patricia O'Reilly of South Whitley and Dennis (Mary) Worman of Grabill; 18 Grandkids and 7 great- grandkids. She was preceded in death by her parents Clifford and Ruth Worman, her sisters Maxine Weber, Wendy and Glenna Worman and brother Steven Worman.
Friends may call on Wednesday December 26, 2018 from 1-3 & 6-8 pm at DeMoney-Grimes, a Life Story Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Funeral services for Bettejane will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday December 27, 2018 at the funeral home, with calling one hour prior.Burial will follow in Blue River Cemetery, Columbia City.Memorial donations in memory of Bettejane may be made to the Parkinson Foundation.
