Betty Jean MIller

Betty Jean Miller, age 97, of Fort Wayne, IN, passed away at 11:00 pm on Saturday September 17, 2022, at Byron Wellness Community, Fort Wayne.  Born on June 29, 1925, in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of Virgil and Georgia (Clem) Kite.

Betty attended South Side High School and graduated with the Class of 1943.  Betty was an executive secretary for Central Soya, Colonial Mortgage Company, Anthony Wayne Bank, and American Tractor Corporation throughout her working career.  She was a member of Calvary Temple, Audubon Society, and also volunteered at Whitley County Hospital.

Betty enjoyed writing stories, nature, watching birds, and was a gentle soul that always saw the good in others.

Survivors include her grandchildren Shawn Locker and Heather Lesh; great- grandson Georg Locker; several other great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Stephen Locker, and daughter Valerie Lesh.

Private family burial in Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
