Beverly J. Folds, of Churubusco, Ind., passed away on her 84th birthday at 6:10 p.m. Monday, February 3, 2014 at Bethlehem Woods Nursing Center in Fort Wayne.Born on February 3, 1930 in Crown Pointe, she was the daughter of Ivan East and Helen (Keller) East.
She graduated from Dyer High School in St. John and went to Nursing School to become a RN. On August 15, 1950 she married Milton W. Folds, Jr. She was a RN prior to her marriage in 1950 and then became a Homemaker and Housewife.She is a member of Most Precious Blood Catholic Church and was one of the founders of Curtain Company Players. She was also a past President of Whitley County Right to Life and Fort Wayne Civic Guild.
Survivors include her children, Milton W. (Cathy) Folds, III of Winona Lake, Joe P. (Toni) Folds of Churubusco, Mary (Arnold) Reyling of Decatur, Blaise (Kevin) Moore of Fort Wayne, Mercy (Phillip) Weigmann of Fort Wayne, Michael (Kimberly) Folds of Southern Shore, NC and Dorothy (Joseph, Sr.) Cochran of Columbia City; brother-in-Law, Jim (Pat) Hands of Santa Claus; 27 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 64 years, Milton; and sister, Adelle Hands.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, February 7, 2014 at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, 1515 Barthold St., Fort Wayne with visitation one hour prior. Fr. Joseph Gaughan will be officiating.Burial will take place at a later date at Greenhill Catholic Cemetery in Columbia City.Memorial gifts may be given in Beverlys memory to Alzheimer's Association or Most Precious Blood Catholic Church.Please visit
