Brian A. Royal

Brian A. Royal, 33, of South Whitley, passed away the evening of Monday, July 31, 2017 in Columbia City. He was born December 9, 1983 in Fort Wayne where he grew up.

For the past seven years he worked at Preferred Inc. On August 30, 2014, Brian married the love of his life, Michelle Cox on her grandpas farm. He loved all his children and enjoyed playing games like dodgeball and football with his younger kids, nieces, nephews and friends children. He also enjoyed driving around, being outdoors, fishing and camping, with one of his favorite places being Turkey Run.

Survivors include his wife, Michelle Royal; children, Patrick Royal-Wormcastle, Maddison Royal-Wormcastle, Dallas Royal, Elizabeth Royal, Koltan Dean Cox, Isabelle Royal and Trinity Royal; mother, Tina (Royal) Nickolson; father, William Nickolson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dean and Connie Jo Cox; five siblings and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandma Royal and grandma Nickolson; uncle, Paul and aunt, Patty.

A memorial gathering will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, August 4, 2017 at DeMoney-Grimes, a Life Story Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City.
