C. Betty Lawson, age 81, of Albion, IN passed away at 9:35 p.m. Monday, February 25, 2013 at Community Hospital, Anderson after a brief illness.Born on June 19, 1931 in Jamestown, TN she was the daughter of Henry and Hattie (Bilbrey) Moore .
As a small child she moved from Tennessee and spent her lifetime in Anderson until moving to Big Lake in 1977. She was married on July 16, 1948 to David R. Lawson, Sr. She retired from Wolf Lake Products in 2003 after 25 years of service in production. She was an avid bowler playing on many leagues and was a member of the Anderson and Columbia City Eagles Auxiliary Lodges.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda D.(Steve Hagensieker) Stevens of Anderson; 3 sons, David Rick Vicki J.) Lawson, Jr. of Big Lake;Michael A. (Vicky) Lawson of Ligonier; Gary Lawson of Columbia City; 14 grandchildren including, Michelle (Paul) Schuyler, Donald (Jeni) Ferguson, Melissa (Kevin Creamer) Pleeger, Melody (Scott) Buckles, Christopher (Jenny) Lawson, Alethea Lawson, Stephanie Lawson, Ellesha (Andy) Hughes, Kary Lawson, Marcia (Mike) Birge, Doug (Sherry) Stevens, Tonya (Kim) Fetty, Patty (Rob) Leathers and Jim (Mary) Stevens; great grandchildren including, Chase Ferguson, Morgan Ferguson, Kristen Lawson, Keira Bechtold, Tyler Lawson, Dylan Lawson, Destiny Lawson, Mason Buckles, Hayden Ferguson, Ryan Schuyler, Courtney Schuyler, Cameron Lawson, Diamond Lawson, Alexius Hughes, Desiree Lawson, Isabella Hughes and Isaiah Hughes; 1 great great grandson, Kayden and a dear friend, Sharon Dial, Albion.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, David R. Lawson, Sr., sister, Valley Sieb, brother, Carson Moore, son in law, Curtis LeRoy Stevens and 1 grandson, Michael Lawson, Jr.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 28, 2013from 2-6 pm with funeral service immediately following at 6 pm at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City.
