Cozetta Barnes

Cozetta "Cozy" R. Barnes, 55, of Columbia City, passed away Sunday, April 25, 2021 at her home. Born December 7, 1965 in Whitley County, she was the daughter of Earl B. Wagner and Edna M. (Brockmeyer) Meyer.

Cozy graduated from Columbia City Joint High School with the Class of 1984. She also completed an Early Childhood Care Certificate Program at Ivy Tech. Cozy worked for Magnovox/ITT from 1986 until 2000 before Starting at Autoliv. She also had worked at Ultra Electronics SSI.

She is survived by her significant other James Barnes; daughter, Kim Ahrens; sister, Earlene Alexander; brother, James (Monica) Wagner; 2 nephews; 1 niece; 3 grand-nieces.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother.

Private services were held by her family. Memorial donations may be given in memory to Parkview Hospice. Donations may be mailed to DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Dr., Columbia City.
