Dana Faye Wilson

Dana Faye Wilson, age 64, of Columbia City, IN, passed away at 2:40 pm on Tuesday August 13, 2024, at her residence. Born on October 2, 1959, in Dexter, Missouri, she was the daughter of James Harvey and Mary Ellen (Williams) Barnes.

Dana attended Dexter Senior High School, Dexter, Missouri graduated with the Class of 1978.

She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for 25 years until her retirement in 2017. She always had such a love for taking care of others.

Dana was a member of the Columbia City YMCA and made frequent visits to swim in the pool.

She enjoyed singing karaoke, dancing, playing cards, and hanging out with her two dogs.

Survivors include her daughter Marcy (Jacob) Arthur of Cottonwood, Arizona; grandchildren Ellie, Ivey, and Chase, all of Cottonwood, Arizona; brother Garry (LaDawn) Barnes of Dexter, Missouri; nephews Brandon Barnes and Justin Barnes, both of Dexter, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents James & Mary Barnes, grandmother Edith Barnes, brother Barry Barnes, and nephew Colby Barnes.

A memorial service for Dana will held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday August 28, 2024, at DeMoney Grimes Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City, with calling one hour prior.

Memorial contributions in memory of Dana may be made to Whitley County Humane Society.
