Deanna Heffley

Deanna Darlene Heffley, 76, of Larwill, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at home with her daughter and son-in-law by her side. Born November 14, 1946 in Columbia City, she was the daughter of Dean and Laura (Hennig) Bentz.

She graduated from Columbia City Joint High School with the Class of 1965. For 27 years Deanna worked at Whitley Memorial Hospital and retired after 25 years with Kroger in 2014. Deanna loved spending time with her daughter and grandpups. She was an avid reader, enjoyed time gardening and watching crime shows.

Deanna is survived by her daughter, Hollie (LeRoy) Welling; granddaughter, Savannah Grogg; her 8, four-legged grandchildren; brothers, Richard (Jane) Bentz and David Bentz; and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Deb Simon.

In accordance with Deanna's wishes, there will be no public service. Memorial donations may be given in her memory to the Humane Society of Whitley County.
