Debra Brown, 51, of Pierceton, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly at 9:17 a.m. Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at Kosciusko Community Hospital in Warsaw. Born on April 1, 1968 in Columbia City at Whitley Memorial Hospital, she was the daughter of Raymond Jackie Brown and Myrna (Yancey) Brown.
She grew up in Columbia City and attended Columbia City Joint High School. She spent most of her work career being a CNA and helping others. Deb loved her family and cherished all her grandchildren. She was always there for her children and supported them in any way possible and the greatest joy was having all her family together.
Survivors include her daughters, Jessica Garver and Amanda Garver- Waugh; sons, Shane Garver, Kile Egner, Dusty "Ducky" Egner and Nick Egner; sisters, Mary Coe and Lila Leckrone; 14 grandchildren and her beloved dog, Tayhea. Deb was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Nila Born in June of 2019; former soul mate, Donald Lortie and infant brother, Raymond Brown, Jr.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 11-12:30 p.m. Friday, December 20, 2019 at DeMoney-Grimes, a Life Story Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. A time for sharing will begin at 12:30 p.m. She will be laid to rest beside her sister and mom at Greenhill Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in Deb's memory toward her final expenses, I.C.O.
