Donald Lee Boston, age 75, of Columbia City, IN died Monday, December 21, 2009 at 1:23 a.m. at Parkview Hospital Fort Wayne. Born on April 3, 1934 in Galena, OH he was the son of Clarence and A. Kathryn (Hall) Boston.He was a graduate of Central High School, Fort Wayne, IN with the Class of 1952. He then served in the US Navy from 1952-1956 where he served on the USS Renshaw as a radar man during the Korean War. Upon returning to Indiana, he attended Indiana Technical College graduating with a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering in 1959. From 1961 to 1993, he resided in Indianapolis, IN and for the past 16 years, he resided in Columbia City. On August 7, 1961 he married Mary L. Castleman in Indianapolis. He worked as an Air Traffic Controller at Indianapolis International Airport for 29 years. He also served as a reserve Sheriff Deputy with the Hendricks County Sheriff Department. He was a member of the National Association of Federal Retired Employees.Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Mary L. Boston; daughter, Sandra (Dennis) Brickert of Rockville, IN; 3 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Janet Wagner of Fredericktown, OH and Cathy (Steve) Dolson of Leo, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gary Boston.To honor Mr. Boston's request, there will be no visitation or services.
