Donald L. Riley

Donald L. Riley, 74, of Columbia City, Ind., passed away Monday, November 20, 2023, at home surrounded by family.  Born November 1, 1949, in Fort Wayne, Ind., he was a son of the late Louis Riley and Olive (Jarrett) Riley.

He graduated from Churubusco High School with the Class of 1968.  On May 4, 1969, he married Evelyn Kincaid at the Freewill Baptist Church in Fort Wayne. Don was drafted into the Army and served in Korea during the Vietnam Era.  In high school Don worked for Schaefer Implement and after high school he worked for Precision Plastics/Plastimatics and Bosch Automotive.  He enjoyed woodworking and yard work.  Don like to take short trips around the area looking at nature.  He was a farmer at heart.

Don is survived by his wife, Evelyn Riley; brothers, Tom (Deb) Riley and Mike (Lynn) Riley; sister, Patricia (Brad, deceased 2016) Smith; sisters-in-law, Rosemary (Billy G., deceased, 2016) Kincaid, Edwina (Robert, deceased 2002) Mosher; brothers-in-law, Lorn (Linda) Kincaid, and Doyle (Kris) Kincaid; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 10:00 am to 11:00 am, Wednesday, November 22, 2023, with Funeral Service at 11:00 am, at DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City.  Burial will follow at South Park (Annex) Cemetery.
