Dora Ellen Coulter

Dora Ellen Coulter, age 77 of Wolcottville, IN, passed away at 8:48 am on Saturday November 14, 2020 at Parkview Noble Hospital, Kendallville.  Born on June 30, 1943 in Muncie, IN, she was the daughter of James and Ada (Cox) Hillman.

Dora attended Royerton High School and graduated with the Class of 1961.  In March of 1967, she married David Allen Coulter and moved to Witmer Lake, where she resided for 53 years.  Dora worked in manufacturing nearly all of her working career until her retirement in 2008 from Federal Mogul. She enjoyed reading, time at Witmer Lake, working in her flower beds, and was also a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Wolcottville.

Survivors include her children Kim (Steve)  Jewell of Columbia City and Jeff (Kerry) Coulter of Warsaw; grandsons Jeffery, Matthew, and Thomas Coulter; granddogs Charlie, Tripp, and Oliver; siblings Jim (Liesel) Hillman of LaGrange and Jean (John) Flint and Kip (Linda) Hillman, both of Murrels Inlet, SC; faithful cat Sammy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband David Coulter, brother Chuck Hillman, and sister Sally Reed.

A memorial gathering in memory of Dora will be held at a later date.

The family prefers memorial contributions be made in memory of Dora to the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo.
