Edna M. Proctor

June 28, 1925 — November 25, 2015

Edna M. Proctor, 90, of Columbia City, Ind. passed away at 7:15 a.m. Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at Heritage Park Nursing Home, Fort Wayne. Born June 28, 1925 in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of Charles M. and Laura C. (Gephardt) Krill.

She attended Fort Wayne Community Schools, finishing at Elmhurst High School. On March 11, 1943, she married Richard Earl Proctor in Fort Wayne. Edna worked at Fort Wayne National Bank for five years and Indiana Bank for two years before retiring in 1987 from the Container Corp. in Ft. Wayne. She also was a substitute custodian for Whitley County Consolidated Schools from 1989 into the early 2000s. She had been a member Columbia City Fraternal Order of Eagles #1906 Auxiliary, American Legion Post #98, Skys Unlimited, and Clowning Ministries.

Survivors include her children, Pam Proctor of Ft. Wayne, Richard Dick Proctor Jr. of Columbia City, Ronald (Marilyn) Proctor of Fort Wayne and Candela Candy (Mark) Confer of Fort Wayne; sister, Florence Rosier of LaQuinta, California; 6 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; companion Russell Hyndman of Fort Wayne. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard Proctor Sr.; 6 brothers, 3 sisters, and an infant son; Robert Proctor.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 30, 2015 from 2 to 8 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. In accordance with Ednas wishes there will be no funeral service. Memorial donations may be given in Mrs. Proctors memory to American Diabetes Association.
