Edward Lee Miller, age 69, of Albion, IN passed away at 5:45 pm Friday, November 11, 2011 at IU Medical Center, Indianapolis, IN.Born on October 9, 1942 in Peru,he was the son of Joseph Harold and Mary (Deeb) Miller.
He lived in Peru moving to Fort Wayne in 1963 and the in 1992 he moved to his present home near Albion.He graduated from Jefferson High School with the Class of 1961 and attended Manchester College for 2 years.On July 24, 1965 he married Barbara Lorrine Gallaway at First Church of Nazarene, Fort Wayne by Pastor Roberts. He worked at General Electric, Fort Wayne, which was later renames Lockheed and British Aerospace as a Test Technician retiring in 2002.He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene, Fort Wayne.He loved to garden, anything mechanical, boating and camping with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Barbara Lorrine Miller of Albion; 4 children, Michael L. (Ingrid) Miller of Cecil, OH, Darryl E. Miller of Albion; Sheila A. Miller and Mark E. (Michelle) Miller both of Columbia City; 4 grandchildren; 7 brothers and sisters, John (Margaret) Miller of Galveston, Mary Jo (Carl) Hann of St. Louis, MO; Barbara (Larry) Gregory and Freda Holzhousen both of Indianapolis, Philip (Cindy) Miller of Kokomo, Joseph (Karen) Miller of Fort Wayne and Harold Miller of Fairland. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Abrahm Miller.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at the funeral home with Pastor Thomas Beers officiating. Burial will follow at Thorn Cemetery, Ormas.Memorial gifts may be given inMr. Miller's memory to donor's choice of charity.Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Please visit
