Elizabeth Ann Hatcher, age 74, of Fort Wayne, IN passed away at 10:54 a.m. Monday, October 1, 2012 at her home.Born March 9, 1938 in Churubusco, IN, she was the daughter of Herbert Theodore and Bethel Marie (Pennington) Harroff.
She graduated with the class of 1956 from Wolf Lake High School. On April 29, 1963 she married Ruben Dillard Hatcher in Columbia City. A homemaker, she also worked at Chamberlin Products as a line worker for 4 years. Prior to moving to Fort Wayne, she lived at Wolf Lake, Albion, Churubusco, Tennessee, Kentucky and Indiana.She also lived at Blue Lake, Warsaw, Garrett and Silver Lake. She was a member of Living Hope Church, Warsaw, and attended Cornerstone Wesleyan Church, Merriam.
Survivors include her son, Herbert Edward (Petra) Hatcher of Manhattan, KS; daughter, Pamala Dee (Ronald) Hoelle of Fort Wayne; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Rilla Walter of Fort Wayne and Mary Gator of North Carolina.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ruben Dillard Hatcher and several brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held Friday, October 5, 2012 from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City.Funeral service will be held immediately following calling at 1:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial at Christian Chapel Cemetery, Merriam. Memorial gifts may be given in Mrs. Hatcher's memory to Riley Hospital for Children. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
