Elizabeth Linnette Martinez, 48, of Columbia City, IN passed away suddenly at her residence at 1:14 a.m. Monday, November 4, 2013. She was born in Fort Wayne on August 21, 1965. She was the daughter of Willis DeWayne Bill and Viola May (Wood) Bosserman.
Liz spent her lifetime in Columbia City graduating with the Class of 1983 from Columbia City High School. She attended cosmetology training and received a Nail Tech certificate. She married Jose Martinez on March 11, 1995 in Las Vegas, NV. She was a former cook at 11th Frame Restaurant and a nail tech at Color Me Tan and Fabulous Hair & Nail, both of Columbia City. She had a deep passion for Indian history and enjoyed reading.
Survivors include her husband of 18 years, Jose Martinez; mother, Viola Bosserman, Columbia City; son, Joshawa Lee Nicholson, Columbia City; step-children, Ricky Augustine Martinez, Columbia City, April Renee Palma and Bridgett Holland both of New Braunfels, TX; sister, Renee L. (Kelly) Keller, Hubertus, WI; brother, William Billy J. Bosserman, Columbia City; and numerous grandchildren and great- grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father, Willis D. Bosserman and step-children, Fabian Martinez and Tasha Farber.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, November 8, 2013 at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Her funeral service will be at 7 p.m. immediately following visitation at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be given in Mrs. Marinez'smemory to her final expense account in care of the funeral home.
