Frankie D. Tug Tuggle, Jr., age 72, of 719 Countryside Drive, Columbia City, IN died at 11:34 a.m. on Monday, August 13, 2007 at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana, Fort Wayne. Born on May 20, 1935 in Huntington, IN, he was the son of Frankie and Adelaide (McVoy) Tuggle, Sr.
He spent his early lifetime in Huntington moving to Columbia City in 1985. He graduated from Huntington High School with the Class of 1953 and received 1 year of college education with the United States Navy, where he retired after 22 1/2 years service. He also worked 9 years for Super Wash on Diplomat Drive and in the maintenance department of Parkview Whitley Hospital, Columbia City for 4 years. He married Charlene A. Petty on May 8, 1982 in Columbia City, IN.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Charlene A. Tuggle, Columbia City, IN; 5 sons, 1 daughter, 1 brother, William Tuggle, 1133 W Joe Street, Huntington, IN 46750 (260-356-3167) and numerous grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, Jerry Tuggle.
Visitation is 3 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, August 18, 2007 with memorial service following at 4 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City, IN. Sharon Brockhaus, Funeral Celebrant of DeMoney-Grimes, will officiate at the services. Memorial bequests may be given in Mr. Tuggles memory to the donors choice of charity.
