GARY WAYNE KING

July 4, 1955 — March 15, 2014

Gary King, age 58 of Columbia City, IN passed on Saturday March 15, 2014 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.Born on July 4, 1955 in Columbia City he was the son of Roderick A. and Dorothy A. (Coffelt) King.

Gary enjoyed nature in general and loved being outdoors.He loved all animals and always had a dog nearby.To Gary "every dog was Cocoa".He was a connoisseur of watches and also of piggybanks to collect all of his change.

Survivors include his sister Kathaleen (Michael) McKinney of Columbia City; brother Roderick (Cassie) King II of Columbia City; uncles Gene (Marie) Coffelt and Dale (Sharon) Coffelt both of Columbia City; aunts Carolyn (Jan) Fleck of Warsaw and Treva (Stan) Berry of Stockton, CA; nieces Melissa McKinney of Pierceton and Hollie McKinney of Columbia City; great-niece Aressa Tackwell; great-nephews Blase McKinney, Alex and Matthew Dial, and Wyatt Woods. He was preceded in death by his father Roderick A. King on February 26, 2014, his mother Dorothy A. King, a brother Terry Randall King, all of his grandparents, and several aunts and uncles.

Funeral services for Gary will be at 1:00pm on Wednesday March 19, 2014 at DeMoney-Grimes, a Life Story Funeral Home,600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Certified Funeral Celebrant Sharon Brockhaus will be officiating. Burial will follow in South Park Annex Cemetery, Columbia City. Memorial donations may be made in Mr. King's memory to Anthony Wayne Services. Gary was an organ donor and gave the "gift of life" to others.
