Gregory Brake

Gregory Lane Brake, 56 of rural Columbia City, passed away 12:35 p.m. Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at his residence. He was born March 21, 1961 in Fort Wayne, the son of Rozena M. and Gaylord Brake.

Greg graduated from Northrop High School in Fort Wayne and served with the United States Army. He then received an electrical degree from ITT. He worked at Magnavox several years and for the past 12 years he has been the Production Manager for Complete Controls, Inc. Fort Wayne. Greg spent his lifetime in Fort Wayne except for the past 8 years in Whitley County. He enjoyed hunting and loved being on the water.

Survivors include his parents, Rozena M. Ro (Ed) Heintzelman, of Columbia City and his father, Gaylord (Barbara) Brake of Fort Wayne; twin 5 year old daughters, Maya and Lili Brake, of Fort Wayne; 3 adult children, Dustin, Tabetha and Cody; sister, Tracy Baral, Fremont; 4 additional siblings, Vicky, Debbie, Tracy and Annette and a niece, Megan. He is preceded in death by a son, Travis.

Public visitation will be held on Monday, November 27, 2017 from 4-8:00 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes, a Life Story Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Memorial bequest may be given to Wounded Warriors. Please visit www.demoneygrimes to view his obituary or send a condolence.
