GUY H. WILSON

June 30, 1929 — July 11, 2013

Guy H. Wilson, age 84, of Mattawan, MI passed away at 2:30 a.m. Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Rose Arbor Hospice Home, Kalamazoo, MI. Born on June 30, 1929 in Albion, Noble County, IN, he was the son of Frank C. and Hazel (Owen) Wilson.

He attended Albion High School. On June 14, 1952, he married June E. Rowland in Albuquerque, NM. After 22 years of service, he retired from the United States Air Force in 1969. A former Indiana resident, he lived in Michigan since 1969. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Shriners, American Legion, Eagles, Kalamazoo Clown Club and Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years, June E. Wilson of Mattawan, MI; son, Guy A. Wilson of Rockport, TX; daughter, Dawn A. (W. Rodney) Stienagel of Plano, TX; 2 grandchildren, Devon R. (Brian) Aday of Wylie, TX and Reed D. Stienagel of Plano, TX; 2 great grandchildren, Ella F. and Amelia R. Aday of Wylie, TX; brother, Vern Wilson of Albion; sister, Fern Baxter of Churubusco. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Kenneth, Harold, Viola Imoff, Frank, Jr., Walter, M. Faye Caupp and an infant.

Visitation is 2-6 p.m. with a Masonic Lodge Service at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, July 14, 2013 at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday, July 15, 2013 at the funeral home with Sharon Brockhaus, Certified Funeral Celebrant, officiating. Graveside military rites will be conducted by the Whitley County Korean War Veteran's Honor Guard. Burial will follow service at Christian Chapel Cemetery, Merriam.
