Jason Robert Jones, Jr., 24, of South Whitley, Indiana a cherished son, brother, uncle, grandson, and friend, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024. He was known for his mischievous nature and the joy he found in teasing those around him. Jason's knack for light-hearted banter brought laughter to many and will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
Born on September 20, 1999, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Jason grew up to be a very helpful young man who's kind and compassionate nature endeared him to his family and friends alike. Jason's vibrant spirit and contagious laughter filled every room he entered. Educated at Whitko High School, Jason cultivated a reputation for being very helpful and kind-hearted. Jason had a brief yet impactful career at Amazon over the last 7-8 months where he made lasting connections with colleagues and brightened the workplace with his friendly nature.
Beyond his professional life, Jason found joy in the simple pleasures of fishing trips, exploring virtual worlds through video games, and even had an inexplicable fascination with flamingos. His love for his nephews knew no bounds; he cherished every moment spent with them and took pride in watching them grow.
Jason is survived by his proud and loving parents, Sara and Kevin Coyle; devoted siblings, Kolton (Brittney) Coyle, Desiree (Dillon) Jones, Haylee Coyle and Brandon Mills; three adoring nephews, Adam, Deisel, and Dallas; aunt, Kayla (Barak) Pauley; uncle, Clayton Counts; loving grandmothers, Cynthia Rubrake and Jannas Sullivan; grandfather, Russel Dohm; and the love of his life, Jaden Perry.
He is predeceased in death by his father, Jason R. Jones; and grandmother, Lorena Dohm. The memories of Jason will live on through the hearts of those who knew him best.
Visitation will be 2:00 - 6:00 pm Sunday, April 21, 2024, at DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Funeral services will be Monday, April 22, 2024, at 11:00 am with calling one hour prior also at the funeral home. Burial will take place at South Whitley Cemetery.
