Jeffrey Clack

Jeffrey Thomas Clack, 67, of Columbia City, passed away at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, March 17, 2018 at his home in Laud. Born February 19, 1951 in Fort Wayne, he was the son of James D. and Mary Jeanette (Trautman) Clack.

He grew up in the Tri-Lakes area of Whitley County. When he was younger he enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping and the occasional "drag racing". Jeff graduated from Columbia City Joint High School with the Class of 1969. On August 12, 1972, he married Darlene Cox at Saturn Church of God. In 2001, he retired from Weatherhead. Jeff loved being with his family and his five grandchildren meant the world to him. He loved the outdoors and sitting around the fire pit.

Survivors include his wife and best friend of 45 years, Darlene Clack; daughters, Jennifer (Shawn) Sheets, of Columbia City and Amie (Josh) Godfrey, of Grayslake, Ill.; sister, Cathy Sincroft, of Warsaw; grandchildren, Robby Sheets, Ryan Sheets, Kyndra Sheets, Riley Godfrey and Olivia Godfrey. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Jerry and James Clack.

Jeff's request was for a private family service. He will be laid to rest at Oak Grove (Compton) Cemetery.
