Jenna Rochelle England-Overmyer

July 12, 1987 — October 13, 2016

All who knew Jenna England Overmyer would agree that she was truly beautiful on the inside and out. She was hardworking and gave everything her all, and although she accomplished so much of which to be proud she remained humble and gracious toward others. Jennas devotion to her family was easy to see, and she was so proud to be a mother to two amazing children. She touched the lives of so many others in such a unique way. Life will never be the same without Jenna here, but her spirit will remain alive and well in all who were blessed to know and love her.

The 1980s were an exciting time in American history. Technology was advancing like never before, which cleared the way for the birth of the World Wide Web in the early nineties. During the 1980s we experienced the thrill of gaming systems in our homes and the amazing car phone, which was only the beginning. It was also during this exciting time that William R. England, Jr. and Lisa (Nichols) England were pleased to announce the birth of the baby girl they named Jenna Rochelle on Sunday, July 12, 1987. Born at Parkview Hospital on Randallia Street in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, she joined her older brother, Justin, in the family. Jennas younger brother, Ethan, later came along. Her life was later enriched by two half-siblings, Cordell and Mara, and three step-siblings, Nicole, Erica and Nathan, when her father married her step-mom, Rita.

While growing up, Jenna enjoyed singing, camping, playing Barbies, organizing her room, and shopping. Jenna was also a gifted athlete who played basketball and softball. In addition, she excelled in her studies. As a student at local schools Jenna attended East Noble High School where she was a cheerleader. She later graduated in 2006.

Throughout her life Jenna was known as a hard worker. She had been a waitress at Buffalo Wild Wings while she was attending Harrison College and also worked at IHOP and Cosmos Restaurant in Fort Wayne. For the past two years, Jenna worked at Marriotts Fairfield Inn Suites in Ft. Wayne where she had worked her way to being a manager. Among her duties were making sure the hotel met all the standards that Marriott requires of their hotels. As a people person, this job was a great fit for Jenna, and it was not uncommon for some of the regular guests who stopped in while traveling to bring her in a special gift from another trip they had been on or from a local outing.

There was never anything that was of greater importance in Jennas life than her loved ones. She cherished being with her son, Quentin, and her daughter, Allison. She enjoyed so many things throughout her life, but it was her kids that meant the world to her. Jenna loved her entire family and was very close with her older brother Justin, but she genuinely loved all her siblings. She also had great friends with whom she loved spending time. Jenna had that special something about her, and her zest for life was truly contagious. She loved to be funny, and she had the most fun sense of humor that was forever getting people around her laughing.

Always one to be busy, Jenna was a woman of many interests. She loved being around the water and laying out to get a tan during the summer, which also made Florida one of her favorite places. She had a special place in her heart for animals, and she also enjoyed doing crafts and listening to music or burning a CD of songs that reminded her of her dad. Jenna enjoyed sports, and she was a Chicago Bulls and Bears fan who was known to proudly attend Colts football parties sporting her Bears jersey. Never one to shy away from speaking her mind, Jenna always enjoyed the hard times that were exchanged with her choice of wearing her Bears attire.

Genuine, fun-loving, and hardworking, Jenna was a blessing to everyone she met. She had an adventurous side to her at times, and she really loved getting others going with her great sense of humor and contagious laughter. Jenna was generous and kindhearted toward everyone she met, and she was the sort of person who never knew a stranger. Deeply loved, she leaves behind a priceless collection of memories that her loved ones will forever hold near and dear to their hearts.
