Jessie L. Moore

Jessie Lillian Moore, 54, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Dupont Hospital. Born March 18, 1967 in Washington D.C., she was the daughter of Ida Moore.

Jessie had lived in Suitland, Maryland and then on to Hicksville and Edgerton, Ohio; Butler and Albion, Indiana. After her children were out of school, Jessie moved to Florida and lived in Palmetto and Sarasota. After becoming ill, she moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana to be closer to family.  Over the years, Jessie had worked at various jobs including at Fleetwood and was a cook for several years at the American Legion Post 246 in Albion. She was a collector of antique dolls, learned and enjoyed sewing and gardening the past few years, and loved animals, including her grand-pups, Oliver, Yogi and Isabella.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Edwin and Carolyn Ross; son, Adam Moore; son and daughter-in-law, Austin and Alyssa Babb; sister and brother-in-law, Darse and Billy Strahorn; and four grandchildren, Landen, Sofia, Maybellene and Kingston. She was preceded in death by her mother.

Memorial donations may be given in memory to the Humane Society of Allen County. Donations may be mailed to DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Dr., Columbia City.
