Jimmy E. Hoppas

Jimmy E. Hoppas, 84, of Columbia City, passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at his home. Born November 12, 1935 in Allen County, he was the son of Eddie and Clara (Crabill) Hoppas.

He graduated from Churubusco High School with the Class of 1954. Jimmy served in the U.S. Army and worked for Whitley County Consolidated Schools in the Custodian Department and retired from Reelcraft Industries with 10 years of service. He was a former member of Columbia City United Methodist Church.

Jimmy is survived by his brother, Robert Hoppas; step-children, Tony Angel and Pam Hoppas; and two nephews, Scott Hoppas and Dale Hoppas.He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Karen Ann Behm on February 13, 2008.
