Joanne M. Case Stieren

Joanne M. (Schlatter) Case Stieren, 83, of Columbia City, Indiana passed away Monday, August 29, 2022 at Parkview Hospital. Born July 30, 1939 in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of Clifford V. and Lucille B.(Yurkovic) Schlatter.

Growing up in Allen County, Joanne attended school in Huntertown. On February 26, 1988, she married John Stieren. Joanne worked with her husband at their Tool & Die company,  Eagle Precision as a Corporate Secretary and Bookkeeper since 1995. Joanne loved the Lord, committed to leading people to Christ, giving, and was an avid prayer warrior. She adored her grandchildren and spending time with them. Joanne attended First Assembly of God in Fort Wayne where she was on their prayer team. She recently had been attending Victory Christian Fellowship in Columbia City, enjoyed Bible study, and teaching Bible studies to her granddaughters. Joanne found relaxation in tending to her plants and loved making floral decorations as gifts.

Joanne is survived by her husband of 34 years, John Stieren; children, Deb (Kim) Lipply, Ron (Lana) Case, Lorrie Case, Tim Case, Sue Lowen, Chris Case (Frank Shepersky), and Tom (Lisa) Case; sister, Donna Young; brother, Lynn Schlatter; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Laura Case; and brothers, Roger Schlatter and Duane Schlatter.

Visitation will be 3 to 7 pm, Friday, September 2, 2022 at DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Funeral services will be 10 am Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Aaron Brockman officiating. Burial will take place at South Park (Annex) Cemetery.
