Joyce F. Douglas

Joyce F. Douglas, age 86, of Churubusco, IN, passed away at 10:00 pm on Wednesday August 3, 2022, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.  Born on July 19, 1936, in Columbia City, she was the daughter of Joseph and Alice (Foster) Snider.

Joyce attended Jefferson Center High School and graduated with the Class of 1954.  She worked for Essex United Technologies and Dana PTG in Columbia City in the assembly and shipping departments until her retirement.

Joyce enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking pies, and spending time with her family and dog.

Survivors include her children Janet (Basle) Trimmer, Roger (Judy) Hartman, Gail Hartman, and Gary (Nancy) Hartman, all of Columbia City; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; brother Charles (Millie) Snider.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Doug, twin sister Roma Joan Cox and infant sister Nancy Snider.

Friends may call on Wednesday August 10, 2022, from 2:00-7:00 pm at DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City.

Funeral services for Joyce will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday August 11, 2022, at the funeral home.

Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Columbia City.
