Judith Hosler, age 85, of Columbia City, IN passed away at 2:45 p.m. Saturday, November 10, 2012 at the Heritage, Huntington, IN. Born on May 24, 1927 in Noble County, she was the daughter of Reverend Valmont and F. Beryl (Weeks) Fry.
She has lived in Whitley County her entire life and attended Columbia City High School for 10 years and received her GED later in life. On January 12, 1947, she married Kenneth C. Hosler in Columbia City. She worked at Blue Bell and Columbia Products, Columbia City, before she and her husband opened Hosler's TV Store.She made draperies for many homes and businesses in the area and for several years delivered newspapers for Fort Wayne Newspapers. She and her husband, Kenny, earned their pilot's license and flew airplanes.She was a member of the B.T. Roberts Free Methodist Church and attended Laud Christian Church and was a former member of the Rebekah Lodge.
Survivors include 3 children, LeAnn (Jim) Rosen, Doug (Deb) Hosler and Dane (Vicki) Hosler all of Columbia City; 7 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Jane Druley and Jeanette (Gerald) Bills, both of Columbia City. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, KennethC. Hosler; brothers, Jack, Jerome and Jerry Fry and 1 sister, Joy Lewis.
Visitation is 4-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at the funeral home with Pastor James Clifford officiating. Burial will follow at South Park (Original)Cemetery.Memorials may be given in memory of Mrs. Hosler to Laud Christian Church or Alzheimer's Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
