June Elizabeth Wilson

June Elizabeth Wilson, 89, of Mattawan, Michigan, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2023 in McKinney, Texas where she had been living with her daughter for the past few years. Born August 16, 1933 in Churubusco, Indiana, she was the daughter of William and Lalah (Zolman) Rowland.

She attended Warsaw High School and on June 14, 1952, she married Guy H. Wilson in Albuquerque, New Mexico. After Guy retired from the U.S. Air Force, they moved to Michigan in 1969.  June had been a homemaker and worked as a cashier at a few local business' in Michigan. She was a member of the Masonic Order of Eastern Star, Shriners Helpers, and Masonic Order of Eastern Stars Art and Crafts.

June is survived by her son, Guy A. Wilson; daughter and son-in-law, Dawn and W. Rodney Steinagel; grandchildren, Devon Aday and Reed (Laura) Steinagel, three great-granddaughters. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband on July 11, 2013, Guy H. Wilson; brothers, Ellis Cunningham, Mark Rowland, Murray Rowland, Curtis Rowland and Walter Rowland; sisters, Beverly Hansen, Shirely A. Rowland, Nellie Duggins and Clare Belle Ressler; and infant siblings, Glen and LeOta Rowland.

Funeral service will be 1 pm, April 10, 2023 at DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City with visitation beginning at 11 am.  Burial will follow at Christian Chapel Cemetery, where June will be laid to rest beside her husband.
