Kasie Rebecca LaFountain

Kasie Rebecca LaFountain, age 25, of Columbia City, IN passed away at 7:28 am on May 4, 2017 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born on May 12, 1991, in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of Kate LaFountain.

Kasie attended local schools, and graduated from Columbia City High School with the Class of 2009. Most recently Kasie had been working as a home health aide. Kasie enjoyed reading, spending time with her niece nephew, eating her favorites of tacos nachos, and shopping for clothing. She especially loved shopping at Dollar Tree.

Survivors include her mother Kate (Steve Slater) LaFountain; sister Karie (Chase Miller) LaFountain; brother Steve Slater Jr.; fiance Austin Esterline; nephew Eli LaFountain; niece McKenna Miller, all of Columbia City; aunt Lisa Stanley of Fort Wayne; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Don Shirley Zell and uncle Don Zell Jr.

Friends may call on Tuesday May 9, 2017 from 3-5 pm at DeMoney-Grimes, a Life Story Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. In accordance with the wishes of Kasie, there will be no funeral services. Memorial contributions in memory of Kasie may be made to her final expense account.
