Kay Hinen

Kay Hinen, 83, of Columbia City, passed away at 10:15 p.m. Monday, June 8, 2020 at Millers Merry Manor. Born July 4, 1936 in Columbia City, she was the daughter of Jon and Hazel (Amber) Workman.

She graduated from Washington Center High School with the Class of 1954. On April 16, 1955, she married Sylvester Hinen who passed in 2014.

Kay is survived by her children, Greg (Laura) Hinen, Brent (Trish) Hinen, Lana (Dave) Lowe and Judy (Denny) Boggs; brother, Lynn Workman; sister, Connie (Steve) Horning; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a great-grandson, Ethan Lambert.

A private family graveside was held at Greenhill Cemetery where she was laid to rest beside her husband. Memorial donations may be given in memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
