Kevin J. Leckrone

Kevin J. Leckrone, age 49, of Columbia City, IN, passed away at 12:06 am on Monday May 6, 2024, at his residence.  Born on April 3, 1975, in Fort Wayne, he was the son of Donald Riemersma and Nila Leckrone.

Kevin attended Columbia City Joint High School, before going to work at Dexter Axle, Albion for 15 years.  He then worked for the Columbia City Post and Mail for 8 years and for the last several years worked for the Dollar Tree in Columbia City.  On May 31, 1996, he married Christina Sitts at Goose Lake.  Kevin enjoyed racing cars and repairing small engines in his free time.

Survivors include his wife Christina Leckrone; sons David Scott and Zachary Leckrone; father Donald Riemersma; brother Troy Born, all of Columbia City.

He was preceded in death by his mother Nila Leckrone, brother Gregory Leckrone, and stepdaughter Crystal Scott.

A funeral service for Kevin will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday May 10, 2024, at DeMoney Grimes Funeral Home 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City, with calling from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm prior to service.

Burial will follow in South Park Annex Cemetery, Columbia City.

Memorial contributions in memory of Kevin may be made to DeMoney Grimes towards his final expenses.
