Leslie N. Bills, 80, of Columbia City, Ind., passed away at 12:13 p.m. Monday, December 10, 2018 at Parkview Hospital. Born December 9, 1938 in Whitley County, he was the son of Charles A. and Thelma Odetta (Campbell) Bills.
He attended Troy Center and Larwill High School. On October 27, 1962, he married Patricia J. Rife. Les worked for the Teamsters for 32 years of service, retiring in 2000 and drove for Central Steel & Wire located in Chicago, Ill. He was a member of Teamster 135 and 414.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Bills; children, Charles (Denise) Bills, of Findlay, OH, Thomas Bills, of Columbia City, Kimberly (Jim) Mays, of Columbia City, William (Deb) Vance, of Columbia City, L. Brian (Vanessa) Bills, of Columbia City and Rodney (Teresa) Bills, of Columbia City; sister, Neva Harris, of Larwill; 19 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Larry Bills, Gerald Bills and Paul Bills; sister, Marjorie Geiger; daughter, Brenda Vance, and grandson, James Ryan Mays.
Visitation 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, December 13, 2018 at DeMoney-Grimes, a Life Story Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with Funeral Celebrant Sharon Brockhaus officiating. Burial will follow at Greenhill Cemetery.
