LINDA ANN BORDERS

April 5, 1960 — July 17, 2010

Linda Ann Borders, age 50, of Columbia City, IN passed away after a long illness at 8:00 p.m. Saturday, July 17, 2010 at Oasis of Hope Hospital, Mexico. Born April 5, 1960 in Columbia City, IN she was the daughter of Carl and Elaine (Bechtold) Sederlund.

A lifetime Columbia City resident, she graduated from Columbia City Joint High School with the Class of 1978. She completed her education with an associates degree in accounting in 1980 from IPFW, Fort Wayne. On September 13, 1980, she married James Borders in Columbia City. She was employed as an accountant with Neff Engineering from 1981 to January, 2009. She was a faithful and active member of Columbia City Church of God.

Survivors include her loving husband of 29 years, James Borders of Columbia City; daughter and fiance, Amanda Borders and Cody Jones of Columbia City; son and fiancee, Brandon Borders and Brenda Bair of Columbia City; mother, Elaine Sederlund of Columbia City; brothers, Alan (Luann) Sederlund of Fort Wayne and Mark (April) Sederlund of New Salisbury; mother-in-law, Avanell Borders of Pierceton. Her father preceded her in death.

Visitation is from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, July 25, 2010 at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City, IN. Funeral service is at 10 a.m. Monday, July 26, 2010 at the funeral home with Pastor Johnny McCallister of First Church of God officiating. Burial will follow at Nolt Cemetery, Columbia City. Memorials may be given in memory of Mrs. Borders to Columbia City First Church of God or Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
