LINDA S. REILING

Linda S. Hutton-Reiling, age 65, of Churubusco, IN passed away at 9:56 a.m. Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home, Fort Wayne after a courageous battle with cancer and with her loving family surrounding her.Born on January 12, 1948 in Fort Wayne, IN,she was the daughter of Alfred S. and Eileen V. (Holmes) Hutton-Rennecker.

Linda spent her childhood in Fort Wayne, graduating from Northside High School with the Class of 1966. As a child she was very active with the Allen County 4-H Club, competing in the dairy, sewing and floral divisions. She married Dennis Richard Reiling on November 30, 1968 in Fort Wayne. She continued her education by attending Hixson Floral Design School in Lakewood, OH and then returned to train in wedding designs. She also was certified in St. Louis, MO with American Institute of Floral Design. Linda became the owner of the Watering Can Florist in Churubusco on December 1, 1978. She then expanded and opened The Watering Can on the Square in Columbia City in the early 2000's. She also served as President of Telefora Educational Division traveling to numerous cities training other florists in design work. Linda was a member of St. Andrew Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Auburn, where she served on the Mission Board and was a mentor for young children growing up in the church. She was a member of Churubusco Chamber of Commerce, Churubusco Rotary Club, Kappa Delta Phi and served as a director of the Churubusco Holiday Home Tour, which served as a fund raiser for the Churubusco Library. Linda also served as one of the directors of Turtle Town Anniversary Celebration.

Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Dennis Richard Reiling of Churubusco; 3 children including, Christina Leigh Reiling-Bingham, Timothy James and Travis Lee Reiling all of Fort Wayne; 2 brothers, Steven (Vicki) Hutton of Fort Wayne and Barry Hutton of Largo, FL and 2 sisters, Cynthia Fahl of Larwill and Laura (Tim) Beucler of Columbia City; 3 grandchildren, Greggory, Fauline and Charyce and 4 great grandchildren, Trent, Addison, Kadie and Orion.She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 30, 2013 from 2-8:00 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 31, 2013 at the funeral home with Reverend Glen Francis officiating.Burial will follow at Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
