Lloyd Charles Waller

Lloyd Charles Waller, 66, of Columbia City, Indiana, passed away Friday, May 20, 2022 at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Born July 1, 1955 in Medina, Ohio, he was the son of Euel and Doris (Henderson) Waller.

Growing up in Ohio, Lloyd was involved with Boy Scouts, 4-H, building models, and also wrestled as he attended Buckeye High School in Medina. His father retired and moved the family to Whitley County, Indiana where they lived on a farm in rural South Whitley. Lloyd went on to graduate from Whitko High School with the Class of 1974. Lloyd had worked for Dalton Foundry in Warsaw, owned Waller Cleaning, and retired as a security guard at SDI. He was a gifted artist, enjoyed muscle cars, was mechanically gifted, and enjoyed working on cars. Lloyd taught his daughter not only how to change her tire on the car, but to also change spark plugs and change the oil to name a few of the routine maintenance a car needs. Lloyd also volunteered helping with the Boy Scouts in Warsaw.

Lloyd loved his grandchildren and was a giving man. He was always there for others, would help anyone in need, and tried to find the good in everyone. He will be missed by loving family. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Sabrina and Harold "Thadd" Jenkins; grandchildren, Damon Jenkins, Gavin Jenkins, Braydon Jenkins and Tayah Jenkins; 1 great-grandson; sister, Euelene (Walt) Sprinkle;  brother, Tom Waller; sister, Leathie (Jim) Ross; brother, Larry (Pam) Waller; and many nieces and nephews. Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Waller.

Visitation will be 2 to 4 pm Thursday, May 26, 2022 at DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Funeral services will begin at 4 pm. A private burial will take place at South Whitley Cemetery  where he will be laid to rest near his family. Memorial donations may be given in memory to the Boy Scouts.
