Lois Marie Pulley, age 87, of Columbia City, IN passed away at 3:25 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at her residence. Born April 15, 1925 in Columbia City, she was the daughter of Clarence David and Hulda M. (Anderson) Leininger.
She graduated from Columbia City High School with the Class of 1943. On December 24, 1946, she married Homer LeRoy Pulley in Columbia City. She lived most of her lifetime in the Columbia City area where she worked as a secretary for 35 years at the Whitley County Welfare Department.She was an avid reader and attended all sporting events for all her children.
Survivors include her 5 children, Paul E. Pulley of Twin Lakes, WI; Patricia Kay Williams of Ephrata, PA; Pamelia M. Pulley of Columbia City; Preston L. Pulley of Columbia City and Phillip LeRoy (Treasea) Pulley of Fort Wayne; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Homer LeRoy Pulley, sister, Virginia Johnson and brothers, Henry Hank and George Leininger.
Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 6, 2012 at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 7, 2012 at the funeral home with Pastor Curtiss Johnson officiating. Burial following service at Greenhill Cemetery, Columbia City.Memorials may be given in memory of Mrs. Pulley to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer Foundation.Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
