Lora Ann Ray

November 25, 1959 — July 29, 2015

Lora Ann Ray, 55, of Columbia City, Ind. passed away at 10:00 pm Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. Born November 25, 1959 in Whitley County, she was the daughter of James L. Ray and Dorothy M. (Hinen) Ray.

Lori has been a lifetime resident of Whitley County except for 10 years when she lived in the Garrett area, between 1970 to 1980. Lori attended Opportunity School in Columbia City, Wee Haven in Garrett and worked for Towerview. Lori was a member of St. Paul of The Cross Catholic Church. For the past 21 years, Lori enjoyed spending her winters with her mom down in Florida. Everyone who she met adored her and she loved everyone.

Survivors include her mother, Dorothy; sisters, Diane King of Columbia City, Pamela Ray of Columbia City; grandfather, Lloyd Montz of Anderson; and 10 nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her father and sister, Kathy Ann Ray.

Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, August 2, 2015 at DeMoney-Grimes, a Life Story Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City with a Rosary Service starting at 1:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 3, 2015 at St. Paul of The Cross Catholic Church, 315 South Line Street with visitation one hour prior. Father Jim Schafer will be officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be given in Lori's memory to her caregiver I.C.O DeMoney-Grimes or to her churchs building fund.
