Lucienne Lehman, age 82, of Columbia City, IN, died at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 31, 2007 at her home from an extended illness. Born in Pont De La Dou'ne, France on June 26, 1925 she was the daughter of Bronislaw Bruno and Josephine Eichenberger.
She married Harold R. Lehman, on April 19, 1947 in Viahingen, Stuttgart, Von Com Stat, Germany. After arriving in America she spent her adult lifetime in Columbia City. She worked at Blue Bell and Precision Plastics as a factory worker. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post #98, Indiana Sheriff's Association, Fraternal Order of Eagle's Auxiliary #1906, Air Force Sergeant's Association Auxiliary, Veteran of Foreign War's Auxiliary #5582, Columbia City, IN and a former member of First Baptist Church, Columbia City.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Harold R. Lehman of Columbia City, IN; five children, Harold C. (Sharon) Lehman; Gloria Le (Ron) Drudge; Charles E. (Linda) Lehman; Martha (Jim) Acres, and Josephine A. (Brian) Sherman; 14 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers and 4 sisters.
Visitation is Friday, August 3, 2007 from 2-4 6-8 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Funeral service will be at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 3, 2007 at the funeral home with Pastor Phil Blake officiating. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, Columbia City. Memorial bequests may be given in Mrs. Lehman's memory to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2211 N. Oak Park Ave, Chicago, IL 60707 and St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
