MARGERY L. FRISKNEY

August 28, 1927 — February 27, 2013

Margery L. Friskney, age 85, of Albion, IN passed away at 4:40 p.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.Born on August 28, 1927 in Allen County, she was the daughter of Dee M. and Elizabeth (Cook ) Eubank.

She lived in Allen County until age 3, moving to Green Township, Noble County. On September 14, 1947, she married Willis J. Friskney at the Sherman Street Church of God, Fort Wayne.They moved to Whitley County in 1949 until 1956. They moved back to Green Township, Noble County until she and her husband moved to Oak Pointe for 1 year prior to both of them moving into North Ridge Health Care, Albion.She attended Cherry School in Green Township for 8 years and graduated from Churubusco High School with the Class of 1945. After high school Margery worked at the Fort Wayne National Bank, but spent most of her lifetime serving as housewife and homemaker.She was a member of Big Lake Church of God, where she taught Sunday School and directed the choir. She also was a long time member of the Noble County Home-Ec Club.

Survivors include her 5 children, Sherrill (James) Zumbrun of Albion, Ron Friskney of Tecumseh, MI,Vicki (Rick) Waterson of Albion, Mark (A.J. Calkins) Friskney of Fort Wayne andMarna (Bob) Amber of Churubusco;1 sister, Jean Alexander, Carmel;12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 1 brother in law, Merle Bud Friskney, Arvada, CO and 1 sister in law, Joylene Friskney, St. Paul, MN.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Willis J. Friskney and one grandson, Cameron R. Amber.

Visitation is 3-7:00 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013 at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 3, 2013 at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City, with Pastor Craig A. Myers officiating. Burial will follow at Merriam Christian Chapel Cemetery.Memorials may be given in memory of Mrs. Friskney to Breast Cancer Research.Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.Please visit www.demoneygrimes.com to send family condolences or sign the guest register book.
