Martin Meyers

Martin Meyers, 58, of Avilla, passed away Saturday, September 16, 2017 at his home. Born September 3, 1959 in Fort Wayne, he was the son of Mahlon and Ruth Meyers.



Marty grew up around Jones Lake and the Rome City area. He attended East Noble High School and had worked several years at Reliable Tool in Kendallville along with being a handyman for the past 20 years. He loved being outdoors, fishing and landscaping. He was a diehard Colts fan, enjoyed playing cards, dice and Yahtzee with family and friends and watching movies.



His family includes his sisters, Mindy Tinsley, of Columbia City, Penny (Anthony) Flesch, of Columbia City, Julie (Jon) Richardson, of North Carolina and Cindy (Arnold) Shepherd, of Rome City; his aunt, Pamela (Jim) Gallup, of Wolcottville; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
