Mary Jo Ranly, age 74, of Columbia City, formerly of Tri-Lakes, passed away at 9:35 p.m. on Wednesday January 13, 2016 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born on December 26, 1941 in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of Michael and Mary (Freistoffer) Rebman.

Mary Jo attended Central Catholic High School and graduated with the Class of 1960. She was retired from Lincoln Manufacturing, Fort Wayne, where she was also a union steward and known as the company prankster.
Mary Jo was a member of the Garden Club. Some of her loves include woodworking making cabinets and shelves, reading mysteries or any good books, family vacations at Lake Sylvan, spending time with her grandchildren, and of course talking politics. Mary Jo was the quiet type, but she was very onery.

Survivors include her children Thomas P. Ranly and Lisa M. (Thomas) Schnorr, both of Columbia City and Lori A. (Chris) Hart of LaOtto; six grandchildren Lauren and Evan Hart, Emily and Hannah Schnorr, and Tanner and Jenna Ranly; brother Tom (Adele) Rebman of Marina, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents Michael and Mary Rebman and a brother Dan Rebman.

In accordance with Mary Jos wishes a memorial prayer service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Monday January 18, 2016 at Faith Lutheran Church, 9251 East State Road 205, Churubusco, IN. Memorial visitation will follow until 8:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions in memory of Mary Jo may be made to the American Cancer Association or to Parkview Hospice.
